Our founder and Medical Director, Dr. Rachael Eckel, is a native of the twin-island country, Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Eckel completed her medical training at the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and accrued six revered first place medals for outstanding achievements.

Dr. Eckel began her career in aesthetic medicine through the eminent St. Bartholomew’s and the London School of Medicine, where she received a distinction in her dissertation on leprosy and its history in the Caribbean. She further completed her American Board Certification in aesthetic medicine, graduating first in her class. Through her excellence, Dr. Eckel was nominated onto this academy’s Faculty; to teach and examine physicians worldwide in skincare and cosmetic medicine advances. Dr. Eckel was the youngest doctor to ever achieve such esteemed membership.

Dr. Eckel has participated in several international postgraduate training programs, at world-renowned institutions including Harvard University, Oxford University and Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Eckel has also privately trained with Dr. Michel Delune, Dr. Rox Anderson and Dr. Zein Obagi, the most influential and respected clinicians in cosmetic medicine and laser technology. In doing so, Dr. Eckel has learned and perfected the most pioneering aesthetic techniques worldwide.

Dr. Eckel remains actively involved in scientific research and the development of pioneering products and techniques. She has authored numerous cosmetic medicine journal publications, and is frequently invited to speak at leading international aesthetic conferences on her cutting-edge concepts. Dr. Eckel also lectures extensively worldwide and provides masterclass training to physicians, with a principal interest in topical skincare agents. Dr. Eckel is closely mentored by Dr. Zein Obagi, who personally nominated her to lead his venerable ZO Skin Health International Faculty Board. Through her distinguished success, Dr. Obagi also selected her to edit his latest book.
